GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
The general terms and conditions of sale may be modified unilaterally by the company, if these adjustments are intended to correct, improve or adapt the terms with a view to a better relationship with the customer.
By browsing the bio-essentia website and confirming an order, you automatically become a customer.
By confirming their order, customers confirm that they have read our general terms and conditions of sale and accept them by ticking the appropriate box during the checkout process.
The general terms and conditions of sale applicable to an order are those in force on the date the order is placed.
ARTICLE 1 - PURPOSE
Our terms and conditions set out the rights and obligations arising from online transactions on our e-commerce site bio-essentia They prevail over any other document. Bio-Essentia is intended for private use, the professions and companies with a VAT number.
ARTICLE 2 - PRODUCTS
- Products
Some of the items available on our site come from dropshipping platforms and can be identified by a small logo displayed nearby.
Products on bio-essentia are subject to stock availability on the day of consultation by the user.
Some of the personalised items may be available to order subject to prior contact and payment in advance. If a product is unavailable, the customer will be informed as soon as possible.
Please note that all texts, descriptions and photos are non-contractual.
· Application of our products for cosmetic purposes.
We offer ingredients for creating synergies or homemade cosmetics. We remind you that the marketing of cosmetic products is subject to strict regulations that customers must observe if they plan to market their creations.
Bio-Essentia cannot be held responsible for the use of its products for the purpose of manufacturing and marketing other products.
· Therapeutic use of essential oils:
Bio-Essentia neither recommends nor encourages self-medication.
The customer remains responsible for the use of essential oils.
Aromatherapy, although natural, is not an alternative medicine;
Essential oils may present health risks due to their high concentration of active substances.
The information provided on bio-essentia comes from references in aromatherapy and should in no way be considered as medical advice, nor should bio-essentia be held responsible for it.
For therapeutic use of essential oils, it is recommended that you consult a doctor or pharmacist specialising in aromatherapy. Our therapist is available to guide you in collaboration with your health professional.
Bio-essentia declines all responsibility for damage of any kind, whether material, immaterial or physical, which may result from inappropriate use of the products marketed.
ARTICLE 3 - ORDER REGISTRATION AND VALIDATION
The customer is under no obligation to purchase anything when browsing the bio-essentia website and shop. They are free to choose their products and services, and can cancel or modify their interest in them by managing their "basket", where they can :
• View a summary of your order
• Modify your order
• Complete your order
• Finalise and confirm your order
Customers may also enter a benefit code when placing their order.
Customer identification is desirable but not compulsory in order to finalise the order and proceed with payment.
Personal details such as surname, first name, postal address and telephone number will be requested.
The Customer must create a delivery address if it differs from their official address. Once they have chosen the identification mode, they can continue with their order by validating it and proceeding to secure payment. Payment security is ensured by a dedicated platform that guarantees payment security and protection of the customer's bank details, which do not pass through the bio-essentia website.
Once payment has been confirmed, the order is recorded and considered complete. The order form is recorded in our e-commerce platform.
Customers will receive a summary of their order both on the website and at their e-mail address. In the event of an error, please inform us as soon as possible.
ARTICLE 4 - CANCELLATION
The Customer has a right of withdrawal and reimbursement within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the products by the Customer.
The Customer will have access to "order tracking" in the "my account" tab on our website after logging in. If and only if they have created a customer account. If they have placed their order in guest mode, they must contact us by e-mail.
They will also receive follow-up messages by email.
If the customer wishes to modify their order, they must ask for it to be cancelled and redone.
He will have to wait for our agreement to cancel his order.
It is no longer possible to modify or cancel an order once it has been prepared and/or dispatched.
ARTICLE 5 - PRICES
Prices are displayed in Euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT included). For orders delivered outside the European Union, VAT will be excluded, and taxes, customs duties and other charges may apply when the parcel arrives at its destination. These additional costs are the responsibility of the customer.
The prices quoted on the site are valid on the day of the order while stocks last, subject to typographical or encoding errors. Delivery charges will be added to product prices.
Please note that delivery charges do not include customs duties and other ancillary charges, which may be required in certain countries. These costs remain the exclusive
Bio-essentia reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, and the customer accepts this possibility by accepting the general conditions of sale.
ARTICLE 6 - DELIVERY
Your orders are processed quickly by our logistics department, with preparation starting as soon as payment is received. Payment by credit card ensures that your order is processed as quickly as possible.
Orders are dispatched within a maximum of 10 working days, excluding company holidays. Delivery times depend on the carrier and the destination, and may be longer in the event of force majeure hindering delivery.
Although we work with reputable delivery companies, delays or possible loss of packages may occur. In the event of a delay of more than 10 days, the Customer must inform our customer service department, which will launch an investigation with the delivery company. This investigation may take up to 30 days from the time it is opened. In the event of loss, Bio-Essentia will send the customer a replacement parcel at their expense. If the products are no longer available, the customer will be reimbursed.
Any anomaly on receipt (damage, open parcel, damaged parcel, broken products) must be recorded in writing and signed by the customer on the delivery note.
The Customer must report any anomaly within 24 hours to our Customer Service by e-mail, so that a complaint can be made to the delivery company..
Damaged products (excluding packaging) will be replaced and shipped at bio-essentia's expense. If damaged products are not available, the customer will receive a refund equivalent to the purchase value of the product.
ARTICLE 7 - RETURN
The customer must return the products within a maximum of 14 calendar days from the date of notification of his or her decision to withdraw. Returned products must remain sealed, complete and undamaged, including their original packaging.
Shipping costs for the return of the parcel are the responsibility of the buyer.

ARTICLE 8 - REFUND
· If the customer withdraws and the parcel has not yet been dispatched, we will refund the customer within a minimum of 10 working days.s.
· If the parcel is dispatched or received by the customer, any payments received will be refunded at the earliest within 14 working days of the date of receipt of the returned parcel by Bio-Essentia.
· In the event of retraction of the entire order, Bio-Essentia will reimburse all payments received, with the exception of delivery costs.
· If the customer's withdrawal concerns only part of the products in the order, Bio-Essentia will reimburse the amount of the products returned, excluding delivery costs.
· The refund will be made by bank transfer or by the same means of payment used when the order was placed, if possible.
It is important to note that the return costs are at the customer's expense.
ARTICLE 9 - QUALITY GUARANTEE
Customers benefit from a quality guarantee on the products in our online shop. In the event of a proven defect, we undertake to replace or reimburse the defective or non-compliant products within 14 working days of receiving confirmation of the defect from the supplier and/or manufacturer of the product.
The cost of returning products is borne by the customer.
ARTICLE 10 - INFORMATION AND FREEDOMS
The personal data and information collected during distance selling are compulsory and essential for the processing and delivery of orders. It is used to draw up commercial documents such as order forms, invoices and delivery notes.
All your data and information will be treated as strictly confidential and will under no circumstances be passed on to third parties. Customers have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete their personal data.

ARTICLE 11 - LIMITATIONS OF OUR LIABILITY
As powerful concentrates, essential oils can present risks if they are not used correctly. It is the customer's responsibility to find out about the precautions for use, safety conditions and methods of use of essential oils before using them. Bio-Essentia declines all responsibility in the event of misuse or incorrect application. It is the customer's responsibility to be aware of the precautions for use of the products before using them.
A customer who sells or offers a product from our shop must provide the purchaser with detailed information on the precautions for use and safety associated with the products. Bio-Essentia cannot be held responsible for damage caused by inappropriate use of its products, nor for failure to observe precautions for use, hygiene and safety conditions when using its products.
ARTICLE 12 - INVALIDITY OF A CLAUSE
Should any provision of our general terms and conditions of sale be declared null and void, the parties expressly agree that this nullity shall not affect the validity of the other provisions of our general terms and conditions of sale.
ARTICLE 13 - DISPUTES
This contract is governed by Belgian law.
In the event of a dispute, the customer should first contact our quality department to seek an amicable solution. We handle all disputes carefully, sympathetically and in good faith, with customer satisfaction as our priority.
If the dispute persists despite amicable efforts, the customer must, before taking any legal action, explore a conciliatory solution by using the services of a mediator.
In the absence of an amicable agreement between the parties, the dispute will be referred to the Belgian courts.
